Welcome New Executive Committee Member Patrick Rizzotti

We are delighted to announce that Patrick Rizzotti, our esteemed partner for the World Stage Design 2022 (WSD 2022) event, has taken on a new role within OISTAT as an Executive Committee Member.

Patrick Rizzotti has been an invaluable collaborator as a co-exhibition designer and organizing committee member during our successful partnership for WSD 2022. His exceptional dedication, expertise, and profound understanding of the theatrical arts have greatly contributed to the event's resounding success. We firmly believe that his involvement as an Executive Committee Member will further enhance our organization's strategic direction and global influence.

Patrick's new role aligns with OISTAT's mission to foster international cooperation and innovation in the performing arts. We are confident that his insights and contributions will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization.

Brief introduction to Patrick Rizzotti


Patrick Rizzotti is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia and maintains an active design practice. His process is highly collaborative, and his work investigates boundaries and rules, transformation and surprise, and the shifting expectations of the audience and performer.

Design credits include numerous world premieres, Off-Broadway productions, and designs throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. T.V. credits include Art Direction for America's Got Talent, The Dr. Oz Show, and The Today Show.   

He was on WSD 2022 Organizing Committee and was the Co-Exhibition Designer & Multiple Realities Coordinator. He is also an active USITT member, currently serving as Chair of the International Activities Committee and Associate Artistic Director for U.S.A.'s 2025 P.Q. exhibitions.
