After several years of supplying light and sound technology for the school drama group, I studied Theater Technology at the Amsterdam School of Arts. In succession to my study I worked several years as Production Manager at the Opera House in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Working for Trekwerk, a world leading company in automated stage machinery for 8 years, I gained experienced in all safety related aspects as well as quality management issues. I currently am working as Director of Education and Law for the German Professional Lighting & Sound Association VPLT.

In 2020, I received inspection authorization according to German regulations and work freelance as Certified Safety Expert “ermächtigteSachverständige BGV C1” in machinery equipment for stages and other production facilities within the entertainment industry.

From 2014 to 2019, and again since 2021 I contribute to several working groups for creating European standards of the European Committee for Standardization CEN for Stage Technology.

In OISTAT, I am an official delegate to the Technology Commission since 2014, as well as the Vice-Chair of this commission since 2017. In this commission, I am involved in several activities as the Technical Invention Prize TIP, also I am the co-founder of the International Standards Project.
