About OISTAT Grants
OISTAT Grant is made available with the subsidy from the Council for Cultural Affairs of Taiwan, R.O.C. (CCA) based on the "Subsidy Agreement of OISTAT Secretariat" for the operation of OISTAT Secretariat and its activities.
OISTAT Secretariat has since set aside a certain amount of CCA subsidy for OISTAT projects in every two year circle (2006-07, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2012-13, 2014-15).
OISTAT offers two types of grants:
Seed Money Grants and OISTAT Project Grants.
OISTAT Seed Money Grants
Applicant Eligibility: OISTAT Members
Grant amount: OISTAT will fund Seed Money Grants to a maximum of 1,000 Euro each.
OISTAT Seed Money Grants are meant to support specific projects in theatre design and/or technology. They are meant to function as seed money to help the project director seek additional funding from other sources. Projects that encompass multiple commission disciplines and/or include the work of multiple cultures are encouraged.
Grant period: the project granted must be completed within the two years circle. Applicants should allow sufficient time to plan, implement, close out their project, and, if funded, acknowledge OISTAT and CCA support in all printed media.
OISTAT Project Grants
Applicant Eligibility: project undertaken and supported by the OISTAT Secretariat and OISTAT Commission Chair (along with project leader).
Grant amount: depending on the scale of the project and number of projects approved by OISTAT. In each two years circle, only worldwide project could have up to a maximum of 25,000 Euro.
OISTAT Projects include:
Past OISTAT projects like: Theatre Architecture Competition, WSD, and Scenofest.
OISTAT will consider new project funded completely by OISTAT project funds, but preference is given to projects which also include significant funds from other sources.
Grant period: the project granted must be completed within the two years circle. Applicants should allow sufficient time to plan, implement, close out their project, and, if funded, acknowledge OISTAT and CCA support in all printed media.
Application Deadline
The application must be submitted to OISTAT Secretariat secretariat@oistat.org prior to the two- years circle and to be reviewed and approved by OISTAT board members.
OISTAT Project Grant Application Deadline:
By Dec. 6, 2009 for the years of 2010-11 (exception)
By July 31, 2011 for the year of 2012-13
By July 31, 2013 for the years of 2014-15
OISTAT Seed Money Grant Application Deadline:
By Dec. 6, 2009 for the years of 2010 (exception)
By July 31, each year for the following year till 2015
